CFF Program - Catholic Faith Formation

Good Shepherd Church Catholic Faith Formation program welcomes all baptized children/youth to participate in the CFF Program. Our program is staffed completely by volunteers – Catechists - who donate their time and talents. All classes are taught on site. For more information about becoming a Catechist contact Sister Ching @ goodshepherddre@frontiernet.net

Rite Of Christian Initiation For Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults process is a series of carefully planned stages, marked by liturgical rites in the presence of the Good Shepherd community, in which new Catholics embark on and join us in a continuing and deepening conversion of faith and discipleship. The RCIA takes the distinctive history and spiritual needs of each person into account. Volunteers are needed in many areas to provide support to the RCIA catechumens. For more information contact Tim Fukuda @ OWLSCOUTER@aol.com

RCIA Adapted for Children

The RCIA Adapted for Children is adapted from the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Our process is for children who are not baptized, baptized in another faith or were baptized in the Catholic faith but have not had any formation or catechesis.  This process is a family journey leading to a lifelong thirst for knowledge of Christ and his Church. The RCIA process is marked by a series of Rites which define the passage through the RCIA journey.  At Good Shepherd, we accept children between the ages of 7 and 17 into the RCIA program after a family interview.  We are looking for catechists who are available on Sundays - all our sessions revolve around the Sunday Liturgy.  We need catechists and assistants for three age groups (7-9 , 10-12, and teens). Additional catechists are needed for Breaking of the Word - where children hear the Sunday readings and discuss how they can live out the Gospel message. Lastly we need hospitality ministers to assist with organizing snacks on Sundays, refreshments after Rites or during retreats, etc. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Cindy Fasano @ csfasano@comcast.net.
